3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, maintain login sessions, remember preferences, process payments, prevent fraud, measure website performance, understand readership, and support advertising or promotional campaigns.

Cookies may include:

Essential Cookies

These cookies support functions such as:

  • Account registration and login;
  • Membership access;
  • Security;
  • Password management;
  • Payment processing;
  • Fraud prevention;
  • Cookie-consent preferences; and
  • Basic website operation.

Essential cookies may be used without optional consent where permitted by law because the requested service cannot function properly without them.

Analytics and Performance Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors reach and use the Services, identify errors, measure traffic, and improve website performance.

Advertising and Social-Media Cookies

When enabled, advertising or social-media tools may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to measure campaigns, understand whether advertisements produced visits or registrations, and help deliver or evaluate promotional content.

Our cookie banner allows visitors to accept, reject, or customize nonessential cookies where supported. You may revisit the cookie settings to change your selections.

Browser settings may also allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account, membership, payment, or login features from working correctly.

4. Meta Pixel and Advertising Measurement

FrontPage Crew may use the Meta Pixel and related Meta business tools to measure advertising performance, understand conversions, build audiences, and evaluate how visitors interact with pages reached from advertisements.

These tools may collect information such as:

  • IP address;
  • Browser and device information;
  • Page views;
  • Referring information;
  • Cookie or advertising identifiers; and
  • Actions such as visiting a page or completing a registration.

Meta may combine information received through its tools with information associated with a Meta account, subject to Meta’s own privacy practices and settings.

You can review Meta’s Privacy Policy at:

https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy

Where required, nonessential advertising technologies should be controlled through the website’s cookie-consent system.

5. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Operate and maintain the Services;
  • Create and administer accounts;
  • Provide free or paid membership access;
  • Process payments and recurring subscriptions;
  • Authenticate users;
  • Deliver newsletters and membership notices;
  • Provide current and archived FrontPage Ledger editions;
  • Manage downloadable publications;
  • Process cancellations and support requests;
  • Administer affiliate applications, referrals, commissions, and payouts;
  • Personalize or improve website functionality;
  • Measure readership and advertising performance;
  • Understand how visitors use the Services;
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security threats;
  • Troubleshoot technical problems;
  • Maintain business, accounting, and transaction records;
  • Enforce our Terms & Conditions;
  • Protect our rights and the rights of others;
  • Comply with legal, tax, regulatory, and payment-network obligations; and
  • Communicate changes to the Services, memberships, policies, or account status.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information based on one or more of the following:

  • Contract: To provide an account, membership, paid publication, affiliate service, or other feature you request;
  • Consent: For optional cookies, certain marketing communications, or other processing based on your permission;
  • Legitimate Interests: To operate, secure, improve, and evaluate the Services, prevent fraud, and communicate with users;
  • Legal Obligations: To comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, payment, law-enforcement, or regulatory requirements; and
  • Protection of Rights: To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect people, property, and systems.

Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent, although withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

7. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:

Service Providers

We may use companies that provide:

  • Website hosting;
  • WordPress and membership functionality;
  • Payment processing;
  • Email and newsletter delivery;
  • Affiliate tracking and administration;
  • Cookie-consent management;
  • Security and fraud prevention;
  • Website analytics;
  • Advertising measurement;
  • Email delivery;
  • Data storage and backups; and
  • Technical support.

These providers may process information as necessary to deliver their services to us and may maintain their own privacy policies.

Payment and Financial Parties

Payment information may be disclosed to Stripe, banks, card networks, fraud-prevention services, and other parties necessary to authorize, settle, refund, authenticate, or dispute a payment.

Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process;
  • Respond to lawful government requests;
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, security threats, or Terms violations;
  • Protect the rights, safety, and property of FrontPage Crew, our users, or others; or
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business Transfers

If FrontPage Crew is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, asset sale, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or provide permission.

8. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

FrontPage Crew does not sell personal information for money.

Some state privacy laws may define certain advertising, analytics, pixel, or cross-context behavioral advertising activities as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising,” even when no money is exchanged.

Where applicable, you may opt out through our cookie settings or by contacting:

admin@frontpagecrew.com

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 16 for targeted advertising.

9. Email Choices

You may unsubscribe from promotional or newsletter emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the message.

We may continue sending nonpromotional communications that are reasonably necessary to administer an account or paid membership, including payment receipts, renewal information, password messages, cancellation confirmations, security alerts, and important policy notices.

Unsubscribing from a newsletter does not automatically cancel a paid membership. Paid memberships must be canceled separately through My Account or by contacting us.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Services;
  • Maintain an active account or membership;
  • Process transactions;
  • Administer the affiliate program;
  • Preserve unsubscribe and consent preferences;
  • Comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory requirements;
  • Resolve disputes;
  • Prevent fraud and abuse; and
  • Enforce agreements.

Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why it was collected.

We may retain transaction, tax, cancellation, and fraud-prevention records after an account closes when required or reasonably necessary. We may also retain limited suppression records so we do not resend communications after an unsubscribe request.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

However, no website, storage system, payment method, or internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for using a strong password, protecting account credentials, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of certain information;
  • Obtain a portable copy of certain information;
  • Withdraw consent;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Appeal a denied privacy request; and
  • Receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. For example, we may retain information necessary to complete a transaction, prevent fraud, maintain security, comply with law, or establish legal claims.

To submit a privacy request, email:

admin@frontpagecrew.com

Please use the subject line Privacy Request and describe the request. We may need to verify your identity before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization.

13. Global Privacy Control and Browser Signals

Where required by applicable law and technically supported, we may treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of qualifying sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity for the browser or device sending the signal.

Because browser signals may not identify a logged-in account, you may also need to adjust cookie settings or contact us to apply a request more broadly.

14. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.

Paid memberships and affiliate participation are limited to adults or persons who have reached the age of legal majority where they live.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact admin@frontpagecrew.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

15. International Visitors

FrontPage Crew is based in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

Those locations may have privacy laws different from those in your home country. Where legally required, we and our service providers may use contractual or other safeguards for international data transfers.

16. Third-Party Links and Embedded Content

The Services may link to or embed news sources, government records, social-media posts, videos, payment tools, or other third-party content.

Third parties may collect information when you interact with their services. Their collection and use of information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review the privacy practices of third-party services before providing information.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Services, technologies, vendors, legal requirements, or data practices.

The updated policy will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. We will provide additional notice when required by law or when a change materially affects how we use personal information.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
